One of the most striking metaphors for starting ugly comes from SpaceX. When they began building Starship in Boca Chica, Texas, they didn't start with a futuristic facility. They started in giant…temporary…tents. The biggest rocket to be built was taking shape not inside an aerospace compound, but under a giant wedding tent. Absurd — but fucking smart.
