This past weekend ZJs Boarding House closed after 33 years. The absolute favorite of local surfers. It was sad, and now Ocean Park Santa Monica has no surf shop on Main St. It feels like a crime!
I designed a fun yet simple poster to engage and celebrate with the formidable line queuing outside (COVID protocol). The concept is to provide plenty of beautiful open space for customers to sign their name and write something beautiful. I tied a Sharpie on a string next to the poster and encouraged everyone to write something.
I love creating art that makes myself and others smile.
Fragments are essential in piecing together the bigger picture. They offer insights and perspectives that might otherwise be overlooked.
