Good design is humble.

This belief comes from my upbringing, most likely from my early exposure to craftsmanship through my Grandfather's workshop. Growing up, there was never an emphasis on showcasing work in museums. That whole presentation felt a little…snooty. When you pull work out of its context and put it in a museum, it immediately becomes fancier than it probably should be. That always rubbed me the wrong way.
