There’s a big difference between paying attention and having your attention paid for. And right now, most people aren’t training themselves to focus. They’re not in control of their attention—they’re just reacting.
You see it everywhere. A parody of a man doing things for attention… who just keeps doing things for attention. And somehow, it works. Over and over again. That’s not just entertainment—it’s a warning.
Look around: the news cycle, your feed, the endless scroll. My Instagram? It’s garbage. Reddit? Falling apart. The entire media landscape makes much more sense when you realize people aren’t driving the car anymore—the algorithm is.
So here’s what I’m saying:
Pay attention.
Because if you don’t, someone else will pay for it.
